The Dangling Leaf by Dorji Gyeltshen
I
watched a autumn leaf dangle
Death Zephyrs to blow it
away
Hanging on the last sate of struggle.
Connected with a
small branch it lay
It held on tight , fought a great battle
Had
too many words it could not say
It kept on fighting ,dangling in
circles
Wind
was cold in a saddening night
drops of water fell on its curve
lines.
Tried to hard but loses it's might
It lived it's
life but was to blind
To not live this life with it's full
light.
Wind blew hard with last death sign.
So the leaf
flew and took a flight
With death and flew to a shrine
So
this is death it thought itself.
Those who want it aren't gifted
for sure
Those who don't wish for it
Are greeted with
pleasure
Spring came and Light shined with a great bright
The
Birds sang a song of farewell
Then a bud of a new leaf opened
it's sight.
