Trying Things From Youtube
There are so many things in the internet that just makes you so curious and almost all of them are tempting. Videos of how to do card tricks, making your own self made furniture and How to do this and that. There are almost a never ending tutorials and Youtube being one of the free platform to explore and try new things everyday. People are given all the choices to them to try anything they want.
For me I love to scroll around Youtube in my free time, you just don´t know what you will find in some boring times. I recently found this interesting tutorial titled " Making An Origami Pikachu", I didn´t even think that was possible to be honest, I mean to make a flower out of paper is somewhat believable but to make a 3D origami figure of a fictional character that´s owned by GameFreak is something else.
I stared at this amazing Thumbnail that was used for the video and it was so tempting, because I am a fan of Pokemon. I loved the game and the shows ever since I was young, Pikachu is everyone´s favourite whether you try not to be a fan of that cute adorable mouse Pokemon. I clicked on the video and the first five steps of paper folding was easy, I could understand what and how person in the video was doing it( The video didn´t have instructions recorded , just a silent video with sounds of paper being folded each seconds). To get the Sixth folding right I had to re-watch the video from step four almost eight times. As I advanced to further steps it became much harder and harder to follow, I wasn´t sure sometimes if i was doing it right but in the end when the final product came to place. It looked nothing like the professional in the video had made.
I looked at my paper Pikachu and it looked like a crazy old mouse, I laughed looking at my work. In the video the final product looked to cute and adorable, mine was like the Pikachu got hit by a bus or something. But in the end I was proud of my work, of course it wasn´t the best but it had a value of it´s own, the time, effort and passion I put to the work wasn´t wasted. Most people get frustrated and depressed, when the end product of what they create don´t do as they expected it to go. They don´t realize that what they create is their own version of that product and that there should always be a difference from what others create and what you create. So I urge my fellow readers to try to do things what other people do but make it your own style and unique way of doing things. Also to never be afraid of trying no matter what you do, even if you don´t succeed you will be happy that you tried.
